I’m pretty fickle if I’m being honest. It’s hard for me to listen to any album all the way through or find music that I don’t want to jump around to different songs, or worse, play a few on repeat. Especially with the advent of streaming services and for me, Apple Music, I can listen to an endless flow of just random songs without ever having heard the rest of what they did.
That being said, there are a few albums and artists that come to mind when I think of something I can play through so here goes:
David Gilmour – On An Island. I don’t know where I go when I listen to that album but I don’t think it’s here on earth.
Avenged Sevenfold – Life Is But A Dream. Such a great album, the years of honing their craft and showcasing their talent really shows here. Also it was fantastic live.
Cannons – Heartbeat Highway. I am a huge Cannons fan, and I really don’t think I have ever heard a song they did that I didn’t want to listen to. Her voice is like an angels and the vibes are just on point.
Carpenter Brut – Trilogy. The OG album and a banger at that. Escape from Midwich Valley is one of the coolest songs I have ever heard. Honestly, another artist that has a whole discography worth listening to, if you like your music unsettling and creepy, that is.
Megadeth – Youthanasia. Besides my teen years and listening to Backstreet Boys and No Doubt on repeat til I wrecked the CD’s I can’t imagine another CD I have listened to as much as this one besides my last pick. I once had an ex who threatened to break the CD if he ever heard it again because I had it on constant repeat for a good 2 months straight in my car.
Tears For Fears – Tears Roll Down Greatest Hits. I grew up listening to this CD. I would mull over its meaning and be mesmerized by Roland’s voice, not really knowing as a child what it all meant. Those songs are still incredible and the significance today makes them stand out even more.
