Ghosts in The Attic

I have no idea what my favorite hobby or past time is as it changes with the wind. Maybe it’ll be collecting perfume this week, maybe next week I’ll go back to researching places in the map, or now it’s binging about shipwrecks.

Hey remember that covid idea you had that you were gonna master roller skating and bought those ridiculously expensive skates? Remember that time you spent so much time thinking about everything being perfect for your engagement photos that you bought a new car because you wanted that to be perfect too?

Remember how right now you are having an identity crisis and buying up both goth AND renaissance clothes? Oh yeah… I have a basket full of at least 30 items. The post office is real familiar with my house currently. Did I need a handmade authentic Ukrainian sash? No. Did I get it anyway? Yes. Did I go out and get multiple piercings on a whim then hyperfixate on more? Yes. Did I talk my husband into us both having matching tattoos that turned into big possums holding switchblades? Yes…. Yes to everything.

And he’s no better. I sent him a cool video and he immediately locked in on the goth style and proclaimed he too wants to be goth daddy with a kilt and a vest. Of course I encourage this, we are as codependent as we are in love LOL.

Pretty much every hobby I have ever had I poured all of my time and resources into it til I got bored. This is how I finally came to the conclusion that my actual hobby is frivolously spending money and obsessing about things. Not a great hobby I suppose… maybe I’ll obsess on how to fix that soon.
